ABOUT KECAN

Korean Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (KECAN) is an organization that was registered in 2077 under the Institution Registration Act 2034. The central office of KECAN is located at Bagbazar, Kathmandu-28. KECAN is an organized, autonomous, non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental social organization that has an inseparable legacy. KECAN is a non-profit organization and will not entertain any activities other than its specified objectives.

KECAN works as a union for all the organizations working as a consulting body for the people seeking counseling to study in Korea. KECAN has been working with individuals and educational organizations who have made significant contributions over a long period of time in the field in order to transform the educational, social, and economical aspects of the nation. These organizations have been working towards empowering and participating in social transformation and bringing sustainable development in the education sector of the country and also expanding the reach of these institutions to the international level. KECAN has been making appropriate changes according to time and modernizing the working style of such organizations in order to initiate towards building a prosperous and educated modern Nepal. KECAN has been working as an umbrella for such organizations with the objective to strengthen the presence of such organizations to help bring radical changes in the field of education.

As a governing body of all the educational consultancies for Korea in Nepal, KECAN is an authoritative body that controls and monitors all activities of its member consultancies. KECAN works as an guardian for the members and ensures that the members and the students studying in Korea do no have any kind of problems.

and reasonable counselling to prospective students who have selected Korea as their study destination and disseminate authentic information on

  • the totality of finances required for study in Korea
  • conditions governing a student’s ability to work, and the availability of work.
  • the scholarships available to overseas students.
  • Institutional academic matters, accomodation, legal requirements and entitlements, fees and refund policies and student support services.
